genevieve + mark | wedding highlightIn order to have their good friend Chris officiate their wedding ceremony, things at Mark and Genevieve's wedding took a very cool turn. Before the ceremony, they "eloped" privately at, well, the near-top of a mountain overlooking much of Manning Park. A first for me, I had to sign as a witness because there just wasn't anyone else there. Mark and Genevieve, your wedding was indeed FUN, as you set out for it to be, and as your guestbook messages and vows indicated, you two have an awesome sense of humour and deep connection and I know without a doubt you will have an amazing marriage. joshuanichol.com
vancouver aquarium | sept 2019I love the dreamy way jellyfish move and after filming some clips of them at the Vancouver Aquarium, I couldn't wait to put together an edit of them and some of the other marine life.
savannah + pavel | wedding highlightSavannah and Pavel eloped at Cultus Lake six months before they celebrated their marriage with family and friends and even though they were already technically married, their wedding celebration was brimming with love and affection. I was fortunate enough to be invited along (I may have invited myself) to what ended up being the coldest and windiest outdoor service I've ever attended, and although none of the audio picked up because it was so windy, I still love that we get to peek into this intimate ceremony in a way that beautifully completes their wedding story. joshuanichol.com
brooke + dave | wedding highlightThe Okanagan is the closest thing to paradise in BC, and if you asked Brooke and Dave, they would say everything about their wedding was divine. A mountain-top ceremony with a full-guest flash mob, incredibly moving vows, dancing that rarely stopped -- all with some of the most genuine people on this planet. It's an honour to be invited to film at weddings like this and it's always a joy to bring together an edit for a wedding that feels this uplifting.

And after hearing their story, it makes sense that their love would be as strong as it is. They laughed more than anyone could and their connection is as sincere as any could be.

vince + jessica | wedding highlightIt was an honour working with Vince and Jessica and working on their wedding edit was a very special privilege. As you can see from the video, their connection to each other is something special, and just as their wedding was touching and beautiful, it was full of laughter as well. The rain let up just in time for their first look, at the incredible Cleveland Dam, as the pictures and video are evident. It was truly a blast making many new friends at Vince and Jess's wedding. minnekhada park | july 2019Something a little different from the usual video post. I put together this edit when I had a realization that I had a wedding coming up but had yet to edit anything from my new Sony camera. I’d filmed lots, but yet to cut together or colour grade any clips. It’s all handheld as you can maybe tell, but the result is something I’d like to do more of, people in nature, something sweet and simple that evokes emotion.
jacob + stefanie | wedding highlightI think Jacob and Stefanie would agree, for a day in late Fall in BC we were pretty fortunate to have such incredible weather. The trees had just started dropping their leaves, and the colours were perfect, not to mention they matched the barn where they took photos. Jacob and Stefanie are an amazing couple, and an absolute pleasure to follow around on their special day. I recommend all wedding couples take a page out of their book and be sure to laugh a ton on their special day.
sunny + rebecca | wedding highlightOne year ago, I had the privilege to brainstorm and film with Sunny and Rebecca for their save-the-date video. At the time, I had the idea to ask them a few questions about how they met, what attracted them, etc. While these interviews never made their way onto the final save-the-date video, the question "When did you know you wanted to marry _______?" seemed to fit nicely into Sunny and Rebecca's wedding story (also making this the first time they heard any of the interviews). It was an absolutely stunning wedding and I'm thrilled with the footage and excited to share this with you.
kyle + vanessa | wedding highlightKyle & Vanessa struck it rich in January. The weather was great (yes, it was freezing, but worth it), and we were racing the clock to catch photos at Pitt Lake before the sun went down, but we made it in time for an incredible golden hour. Everyone had a blast and the results are some great footage, amazing photos, a lot of fun, and and all-around gorgeous winter wedding.
megan + cole | mini highlightI had the privilege of spending some extra time with Megan and Cole on immediately following their ceremony, so I put together a bit of a mini highlight reel for them. Filmed on a gorgeous day at Crescent Beach, BC.
robyn + dylan | wedding highlightRobyn and Dylan truly had a unique wedding. Robyn, trained as a jazz vocalist, insisted on playing piano before leaving for the ceremony, which made for some of my favourite footage to edit. Her whole family is musical; her father and brother sang a hilarious duet as part of their speech, Robyn’s other brother and sister-in-law provided songs for the ceremony and first dance, and Robyn and Dylan sang a flawless rendition of “I Do” by Meiko during the reception – not to mention the jazz trio who provided the music for dancing! Her family are, by the sound of it, extremely competitive (in good fun) croquet players, which again made for some great footage during the bridesmaids prep time. Robyn and Dylan’s wedding was an absolute joy to film and edit and I’m thankful for the opportunity.
